The problem of estimating linear functionals from eigenmeaures, corresponding to the maximum eigenvalue, of linear integral positive operators is considered. Several algorithms are proposed and proved, one of which can relate to "generation methods with a constant number of particles". 1. Formulation of the problem. The problem of estimating functional (5) is often met when solving a different kind of problen, in computational mathematics,particularly when examining queuing processes and algorithms for seeking a global extremum of functions (see /3/j. Since (4) holds, this problem Includes the problem of estimating the maximum eigenvalue of the integral operator (1, called the problen; of calculating critlcal systems, or the problem of estimating the critic51 parameter of the branching process (see/4-lO/);to solve this problem, so-called "methods of generations b:lth a constant number of partjcles" were developed and investigated. Algorithm 4, which was examined In Sect.2, can alsc be regarded as a generation method and is a generalized Lieberoth algorithm (see j4,/!, which provided its own algorithm with a semiheuristic basis.
