As part of this mission, the FNINR sponsored a Congressional Poster Session to present the efforts of 25 leading nurse researchers from across the country. The goal to inform policy makers about the expanding leadership role that nurses will play in health care reform by publicizing the contributions of nurses to research, applications of that research to practice, and highlighting the potential in benefits of cost containment and quality improvement were achieved.
