T h e Society o f Biological Psychiatry/Dista Fellowships The training of a new generation of psychiatric academicians is a major objective of The Society of Biological Psychiatry. Participation in professional meetings, where new information is exchanged and contacts are made, can have a critical impact on the career of a developing clinician-scientist. In recognition of the importance of this activity, The Society of Biological Psychiatry, in conjunction with Dista Laboratories, is pleased to announce the annual availability of seven Fellowships of up to $1,500 to help defray the cost of attending the Society's Meeting. The Fellowship Program will be inaugurated in May, 1991. In addition to the stipend and the opportunity to attend sessions of interest to them, fellows will receive certificates of excellence and participate in a special ceremony to be held in their honor. Each University Dep=rtment of Psychiatry in the United States may nominate one candidate for this award. Only medical graduates in their third, fourth or fifth year of residency or fellowship training are eligible for consideration.
