Third Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry 6-12 November 1994 Venezuela After the success of the First and Second Rio Symposium, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the organizers invite you to participate in the Third Rio Sympoium. Although the event will continue to be known as ‘Rio Symposium’, the thid meeting will be held in Venezuela, on 6-12 November 1994. Keeping with the style of the second meeting, the Third Rio Symposium will be divided into two parts. The first part will include work on electrothermal, flame and hydride atomic absorption along with atomic emission and atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The second part will consist of two parallel sessions, one devoted to electrotermal atomic absorption spectrometry and the other to inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. Part I will be held at Universidad Simon Bolivar, in Caracas, and Part II will take place at the Margarita Hilton Hotel, in the Venezuelan Island of Margarita. Scope
Part I: Atomic Absorption, Atomic Emission and Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry. U.S.B., Caracas, 6-9 November 1994 The program will include invited lectures (40 min.), oral presentation of papers (20 min.), and posters. Part 1I.a: Workshop on Electrothermal Atomic Absorption; Absorption Spectrometry. Part 1I.b: Workshop on ICP Atomic Emission Spectrometry. Margarita Hilton Hotel, Margarita Island, lo-12 November 1994. Call for papers
The organizers invite you to submit an abstract of no more than two pages (A4), with 2.5 cm margins on all sides, on original research related to the themes of the Symposium. Selection of the papers will be made by the Organizing Committee. Titles must be submitted with the preliminary registration form no later than November 1993. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 15 June 1994. Abstracts of invited and accepted papers and posters will be included in the registration package. Language The official language will be English. Similtaneous translation into Spanish will be provided.
