Supramid Extra® sutures Suture is constructed of minute strands enclosed in a microscopically smooth cover. There is no ingrowth of tissue and no capillary action possible. Supramid Extra specific weight is approximately 1.1 with breaking elongation of about 25%. The unique construction eliminates "memory" and the knots stay tied. Well tolerated in tissues due to the protein-like chemical structure. Can be sterilized by boiling in water, autoclaving at 121°C or in approved gas sterilizer. Large number of various sizes available, also swaged to various needles. Prices and sizes on request

Tonometers Alcon Surgical
Alcon Applanation Pneumatonograph® (PTG) Tonometry in either a sitting or reclining position Two- or four-minute tonography Ocular pulse wave graphs Posteral effect studies All PTG readings are taken with an easy-to-use, nonelectric sensor that measures pressure by the applanating method Digital display indicates actual intraocular pressure in mm/Hg LOP recordings are continuously charted on the inkless recorder Electronic timer automatically starts the unit when the sensor touches the eye Chart speed can be selected for tonography (0.5 mm/ sec) or tonometry (5.0 mm/sec). This allows pulse wave studies to be conducted when combined with the X4 mode of the Offset control In Pulse position, the Gain switch amplifies stylus movement X4 for accurate rendition of ophthalmic pulse in plethysmorgraphic studies The only power source at the sensor is the inert, nonflammable propellant TOP readings to 100 mm Hg Price $5,700; one-year warranty
