AxFlow buys Danish compressed air equipment supplier Trio Trykluft
A
xFlow Denmark has strengthened its position in the compressed air equipment and service business with the acquisition of Trio Trykluft A/S. Founded in 1995, Trio Trykluft is headquartered in Slangerup, about 30 km northwest of Copenhagen. Trio Trykluft specialises in the supply of compressed air equipment and generators for nitrogen which are supported by a nationwide service, maintenance, installation and design consultancy offering. The company also has a strong niche position in the nitrogen generation market. “This acquisition strengthens AxFlow’s service offering in Denmark, which is in line with our overall growth strategy,” said Søren Weihrauch, managing director of AxFlow A/S. “AxFlow Denmark already has a strong market presence with pumps and compressor sales in the same sectors as Trio Trykluft, which can be attributed to AxFlow Denmark taking over Gardner Denver vacuum pump/compressor sales and service back in 2014. Acquiring Trio Trykluft will considerably complement and strengthen AxFlow Denmark’s compressor and service activity and make it an even better fit, giving customers a comprehensive service.” Claus Schjellerup, managing director and owner of Trio Trykluft, said: “This is a very exciting business case and I’m looking forward to developing the business further together with AxFlow.”
AxFlow’s product offering includes pumps, filters, UV systems, compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers and mixers. For further information, visit www.axflow.com and www.triotrykluft.dk
Tsurumi Pump: 40 years in the US
T
surumi Pump is marking 40 years of business in the US with a yearlong celebration and plans to further grow its business. Tsurumi (America) Inc, a division of Japan’s Tsurumi Manufacturing Co, was founded in 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. Today, Tsurumi (America) Inc is headquartered in Glendale Heights, Illinois, and has bases in Quebec, Canada; El Paso, Texas; and West Jordan, Utah. “Over the last 40 years, we’ve grown from a little-known pump manufacturer here in the US to one of the leaders in the market,” said Glenn Wieczorek, managing director of Tsurumi Pump. “We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re positioned for even more growth in the coming years, not only in our existing pump business, but in complementary areas where we can leverage our expertise.” Tsurumi Pump’s growth plans include expanding its facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, to a 37 000 sq ft warehouse, to better service customers in the western US. The pump company is also planning a philanthropic initiative that will focus on education, training and knowledge exchange in the engineering and pump technology areas. Tsurumi Pump has started an initiative that enables employees to donate time during business hours to philanthropic work within the community, as well as hosting company events that encourage employees to volunteer on service projects centred on helping the environment. “As we continue to grow as a business, we want to give back to the community and those who might be affected by our industry, especially focusing on education,” said Wieczorek. “As stewards of working with and managing water properly, we want to give back to society our knowledge and expertise to ensure our environment continues to be vibrant and protected.”
