TWENTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL PATTERN RECOGNITION SOCIETY AWARD The PATTERN RECOGNITION SOCIETY is pleased to announce the winners of the Twenty-Seventh Annual PRS Award. The Annual Award is made for the best paper published in the journal PATTERN RECOGNITION. Certificates of Honorable Mention are also awarded for outstanding papers. Manuscripts published in Volume 33 (2000) have been judged by the Associate Editors of the journal based on the following criteria: 1) Originality of the contribution 2) Presentation and exposition of the manuscript The winners are awarded a cash prize and bronze medal, printed below.
