Two new dust collector models SnyderGeneral h a s recently i n t r o d u c e d two new c o m p a c t AAF OptiFlo cartridge d u s t collector models. The models have been designed t o fit t i g h t q u a r t e r s in c r o w d e d p l a n t e n v i r o n ments. The four-cartridge a n d six-cartridge d u s t collect o r models were specifically engineered to m e e t t h e need of process engineers in t h e powder a n d bulk solids processing industries. The OptiFlo m o d e l s are e q u i p p e d w i t h l a r g e r filter cartridges to provide maxim u m filtering m e d i a w i t h a low flange-to-flange p r e s s u r e drop. The a e r o d y n a m i c d e s i g n p e r m i t s free-fall of dislodged dust into the hopper and p r e v e n t s direct i m p i n g e m e n t of d u s t particles o n t h e cartridges w h i c h m i n i m i s e s abrasion a n d d u s t build-up. T h e r e a r e a n u m b e r of options to choose from including explosion-vents, s t a i n l e s s steel c o n s t r u c t i o n a n d a b r o a d selection of filter media. OptiFlo is said to deliver 99.999 + % filtration efficiency on processing a p p l i c a t i o n s as diverse as p a i n t p i g m e n t s , cereal, a i u m i n i u m , p h a r m a ceuticals a n d o t h e r ingredie n t blends. The m o d e l s a r e easy to install a n d filter changes c a n be performed safely from t h e outside.
