PREMOLAR

28-year-old black woman presented to the Dental Clinic for emergency treatment of a painful right mandibular second molar. Radiographs revealed that the patient had four impacted mandibular supernumerary premolars (Figs. 1 and 2). This oddity was made more unusual by the fact that one of the impacted supernumerary premolars appeared to have two crowns attached to a single root. An

unerupted, geminated, supernumerary premolar appears to be the cause of this roentgeno-oddity. Carson L. &fader, D.M.D., M.S.D.
