ANNOUNCEMENTS THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION O F ORGANIC GEOCHEMISTS: NINTH INTERNATIONAL MEETING The Ninth International Meeting on Organic Geochemistry will be held at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, 17-20 September 1979. Among the topics tentatively scheduled for inclusion in the programme are: Petroleum geochemistry of the NW. European Continental Shelf; Organic geochemistry of coals and kerogens; Biological markers; DSDP/IPOD organic geochemistry; Environmental organic geochemistry: Stable isotopes; and Analytical techniques in organic geochemistry. The meeting is being organized by The European Association of Organic Geochemists. Final scientific and ladies' programmes, as well as field trips, will be announced in April 1979.
