Colortronic and ACS Group form strategic partnership Auxiliary equipment manufacturers Colortronic and ACS Group have formed a partnership in which the ACS Group will now distribute Colortronic's entire line of material handling equipment to the United States and Canadian markets and the ACS Group will supply equipment to be sold under the Colortronic name in Europe. According to the ACS Group, this agreement creates another way for it to bring solutions and service to its customers. Colortronic is a leader in technology and solutions for the plastics industry and offers a complete range of products for

the automation of material handling, drying and blending. The company says that the ACS multi-brand concept and wide range of products allow for the core Colortronic technology to reach more customers and provide new and innovative solutions to the plastics industry. US registration brings global status for Avecia's new plastic antimicrobial Avecia Biocides has obtained US EPA registration for its new Vanquish™ 100 plastics antimicrobial. The company says that it is the first new biocidal active ingredient to be registered as a preservative for plastics in the US in the past five years. Already a successful product in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, the company says that US registration for this member of the Vanquish™ product range means that it now has global regulatory status. Based on a dual-purpose preservative and effects molecule, Vanquish™ 100 antimicro-

automotive polymers and silicone sealants, and antimicrobial protection of PVC products. Vanquish™ 100 antimicrobial is one of the few liquid actives available for treating plastics. The company says that the nBBIT active ingredient does not contain arsenic, tin or chlorine and is used at low dosage levels. In addition, it adds no unwanted or unneeded carriers to customer formulations. Vanquish™ 100 antimicrobial is also compatible with a wide range of PVC, PU and polyolefin additives.
