AIR Products and Chemicals of Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania has purchased a small equity stake in Nanotechnologies of Austin, Texas, and signed a joint development agreement. Nanotechnologies has three patents on a plasmabased process for synthesising nanopowders. The company makes alumina, titania, aluminum, copper, silver, gold, zirconia and niobia spherical particles 8-80nm. The agreement with Air Products calls for exclusive commercial development in selected markets.
