A BOUT 45 members asse mb led at the entran ce to th e Western Gallery, Imperial I nsti tu te Road, where th ey were met by the Dir ectors. The party divi ded into three sections, eac h Director repeating his dem on stration before each section in turn. Prof. Watts conducted ro und th e public portion of the Mus eum, explaining the various working models of geological phenomena. H e drew particular attention to the wonderful relief model of th e Sentis district of the Alp s, which is a re cent and valuable addition to the colle ction, giving a detailed and lucid exposition of th e complicated stratigraph y of that region. Dr. Cullis gave a demonstration upon th e minerals occurring in variou s rock slices, with th e aid of the splendid apparatus in th e College La boratory, and Mr. R. F . Gwinnell dealt with the significance o f th e various struc tures of igneo us rocks as displa yed in a series of roc k-slices sho wn with the projection micro scope. Before dispersing, the par ty was kindly en tertai ned to tea at the College by Prof. Wat ts, after which the President thank ed th e Directors for th e pleasan t and instructive afternoon th e members had enjoye d under thei r guida nce .
