What's Better Than Six JACEPs? Beginning in January
J A C E P will be twice as
valuable to its readers. No, this s t a t e m e n t is not based on ego. Rather, it is based on our plans to increase J A C E P publication to a m o n t h l y basis. J a n u a r y 1976 will m a r k the b e g i n n i n g of our fifth year of publication. In that time, we have grown from a bim o n t h l y issue that struggled to fill its pages with worthwhile articles, to a flourishing clinical j o u r n a l t h a t attracts an a b u n d a n c e of worthy m a n u s c r i p t s from leaders in the field of emergency medicine, As a bi-monthly, J A C E P was limited in its ability to b r i n g its readers the latest i n f o r m a t i o n on research and new techniques in the field. By doubling the n u m b e r of issues, the J o u r n a l can increase the a m o u n t and timeliness of its contents. We are also pleased t h a t growth in the n u m b e r of subscribers, both through ACEP's increased membership and from others involved in EMS, along with the support of our advertisers, has provided the financial base necessary for a m o n t h l y journal. Although there will be twice as m a n y issues, our subscription charge for non-ACEP members has increased only from $15.00 to $24.00 per year. You are holding the last b i - m o n t h l y J A C E P . We t r u s t you will be pleased with our new publication schedule and t h a t you will continue to provide us with manuscripts and news p e r t a i n i n g to our fast-growing m u t u a l interest - emergency medicine.
