GRUNDFOS INVESTS IN PEOPLE The Grundfos Electronics factory in Bjerringbro, Denmark has been certified to Investors in People (IIP) standard. The IIP concept, which originates from the UK, is based on the idea that a company’s most important competitive parameter is the development of human resources. The Confederation of Danish Industries introduced the British model last year as a pilot project in a number of Danish companies including Grundfos. The certification of Grundfos Electronics followed a questionnaire and interview survey of a large number of the 400 employees at the factory, which manufactures advanced electronic products used in Grundfos pumps. There are no plans at present to implement IIP in other Grundfos factories. “We want to see the longterm effects of IIP at Grundfos Electronics before extending it to other factories,” said Grundfos Electronics managing director Lars Aagaard.
