Why company directors deserve to be rich I deserve to be rich because I am a risk-taker. I deserve to be rich because I have spent my working life in a monopoly utility. And I deserve to be rich because I create employment opportunities for many. I deserve to be rich because I have downsized one quarter of the workforce. And I deserve to be rich because I believe in incentives for all. I deserve to be rich because I imposed a wage cut on the workforce. And I deserve to be rich because I believe in the freedom to use offshore tax havens. I deserve to be rich because I believe benefit scroungers should be severely punished. And I deserve to be rich because I believe that people are our greatest asset. I deserve to be rich because I terminated the contracts of strikers and derecognised their union. And I deserve to be rich because I believe that effort and enterprise should be rewarded. I deserve to be rich because I oppose a national minimum wage. And finally I deserve to be rich because, in my heart, I am a subversive and believe that gross inequalities will be the downfall of capitalism.
