Akastor to sell Fjords Processing to National Oilwell Varco

Ivzori, 51, joins Amiad from agricultural technology manufacturer Tama Plastic Industry, General Partnership (Tama Plastics) where he has been managing director since 2008.
Oslo-headquartered Fjords Processing specializes in process support systems for gas, oil and water. Technologies include filtration, separation, flotation, dehydration and desalting.
Under Akastor ownership, Fjords Processing has streamlined operations, expanded its footprint in key regions, and produced record financial results.
As managing director of Tama Plastics, Ivzori was responsible for the strategic direction of Tama Plastics, including M&A in Europe and the USA, and the running of day-to-day operations. Tama Plastics has a turnover of more than US$500 million and over 1300 employees across nine production sites and 15 subsidiaries.
NOV designs, manufactures and sells equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations and provides oilfield services to the upstream oil and gas industry. Filtration Group seals acquisition of Mahle’s industrial filtration business Filtration Group Corp has completed its acquisition of Mahle GmbH’s industrial filtration activities. The deal adds industrial filtration capabilities across a variety of applications including industrial air filtration, process filtration, hydraulics and fuel separation and replacement elements, to the Filtration Group. “The addition of Mahle Industrial Filtration products and capabilities to our portfolio of advanced filtration solutions is a great fit for us strategically,” said Steve Felice, Filtration Group CEO. “This will give customers more choice and flexibility in how they can utilize filtration to make their
environments cleaner, safer and more productive.” The acquisition brings more than 900 employees to the Filtration Group, including 410 working in Öhringen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The other 370 employees at the Öhringen location who work for Mahle’s automotive Filtration and Engine Peripherals business unit, are unaffected by the acquisition. Xylem to provide technology for new Indian wastewater treatment plant Xylem has won a US$1 million order to supply advanced wastewater treatment technology to a sewage treatment plant in the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India. The new plant is being developed to accommodate rapid industrial growth in the city of Sehore. Xylem will provide wastewater treatment expertise and technology, including a Sanitaire ICEAS advanced Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) system, which will support the treatment of 12 million litres of wastewater per day. The Xylem contract includes designing the treatment process, supplying and installing all treatment technology (including the Sanitaire ICEAS SBR system, diffusers, decanters, control and instrumentation technology) and commissioning the plant.
Raveendra Bhat, director of Treatment and Dewatering at Xylem India, said: “Approximately 100 000 people in the city of Sehore will benefit from this new plant which will enrich the quality of life in the region. We are pleased to be able to support this ambitious project by providing a bespoke solution which will facilitate the reliable, sustainable treatment of wastewater.” Construction is already underway with the plant expected to be operational by August 2018. www.xylem.com
