METHOD OF PREPARING A SULFONAMIDE-FOOD COLOR ADDITIVE FOR DETECTION OF SULFONAMIDES IN ANIMAL FEEDS AND PHARMACEUTICALS PREPARATIONS
Masakatsu Sibasaki, Mikiko Sodeoka, Katsuhiko Iseki, Masaki Shinoda, Chiyoko Aoki, Yosio Hayasi, Toshiji Kanayama, Mitaka, Japan assigned to Mitsubishi Chemical Industries Limited; Sagami Chemical Research Cent This invention relates to a novel prostacyclin represented by the formula: See Patent for Chemical Structure (I) (wherein R1 represents CO2R5 group or -CONR6R7 group; A is (i) CH double bondCH-CH2CH2- or (ii) CH2CH2-O-CH2-; B represents -C triple bondC- group; R2 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, a phenyl group or a phenoxy group; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or a vinyl group; R4 represents a hydrogen atom, an acyl group, a tri(l to 7 carbon atoms)hydrocarbyl-silyl group or a group forming an acetal bond with an oxygen atom of a hydroxy group; a double bond in the substituent represented by A is E or Z, or a mixture thereof; asymmetric centerin the substituent represented by R2 is an R-configuration or S-configuration, or a mixture thereof); and uses in which they are employed as circulation ameliorating pharmaceuticals for blood flow ameliorating, antithrombus and the like, or antiulcer pharmaceuticals.
Irving S Rossoff A method of preparing a sulfonamide-food color additive for detecting the presence of a compound such as a sulfonamide in animal feeds and pharmaceutical preparations for human or veterinary use involves admixing a minor amount of an approved food color additive with the compound in the presence of water and drying the resulting mixture to the desired form so as to incorporate the food color additive into the water of crystallization or other molecular structure of the compound. Upon being wetted, the resulting compound-food color additive produces a readily detectable color indicative of the presence of the compound. The method is particularly useful for detecting unacceptable levels of sulfonamides in animal feeds.
4840936 PHARMACEUTICALLY USEFUL DERIVATIVES OF THIAZOLIDINE-4-CARBOXYLIC ACID 4840797 CONFECTIONERY OR PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT WITH A SUGARLESS COATING OBTAINED BY HARD COATING AND METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION Bernard Boursier, Violaines, France assigned to Roquette Freres Confectionery or pharmaceutical product with the sugarless coating obtained by hard coating, this coating being essentially crystalline and comprising at least 90% by weight of maltitol.
Bella Davide Della, Angelo Carenzi, Dario Chiarino, Franco Pellacini, Milan, Italy assigned to Zambon S p A Compounds of formula See Patent for Chemical Structure (I) in which R, R1 and Y have the meanings shown in the description, their preparation by condensing an aldehyde or a ketone with cysteine or a derivative thereof and their use in the pharmaceutical field. The compounds of formula I possess antipyretic, antiinflammatory, mucolytic and analgesic activity together with a low capacity to cause gastric injuries. The compounds of formula I, furthermore, are particularly useful in the treatment of ischemia and reperfusion syndromes.
