4685550 QUICK DISCONNECT MECHANISM Jeffrey D Metcalf assigned to Sundstrand Corporation In an actuation system having a pair of motors simultaneously operable for driving a movable member through a torque-summing gear box, there is a need to have a simply constructed, minimal cost, light weight quick disconnect mechanism operable to disconnect a motor which has failed fixed so that the other motor can continue to operate. The quick disconnect mechanism utilizes a tapered jaw clutch connecting driving and driven elements in the drive train between the motor and the torquesumming gear box, a ball detent mechanism for holding the clutch either engaged or disengaged and a short duty cycle solenoid. The solenoid can be momentarily energized to release the ball detent mechanism to permit an axial force derived from the driven member being back driven to separate the clutch and thereafter, the solenoid is de-energized to enable the ball detent mechanism to maintain the clutch disengaged. The solenoid is only momentarily operable to release first locking means including the ball detent mechanism to enable disengagement of the clutch and thereafter is de-energized to enable second locking means including the ball detent mechanism to hold the clutch disengaged and without necessity of continuous energization of the solenoid during the entire time in which the clutch is held disengaged.
8704126 DEVICE FOR ATTACHING AN UPAND DOWNWARDLY MOVABLE WINDOW TO A REGULATOR MECHANISM Ivan Unoson RYLANDER, Dan J@rgen PAGERUP, Lars Torsten Rolandsson HOLM-
Device for attaching an up- and downwardly movable window glass (1) to a regulator mechanism (2) particularly in conjunction with the windows of automotive vehicles, the device being suited for assembly with the aid of machines intended herefor. To this end there are arranged linearly displaceable locking elements (5, 6) which can be displaced linearly with the aid of a robot-carded tool. Linear displacement of the locking elements enables coupling devices (7) on the ends of the upper linkage arms of the regulator mechanism to be connected to connecting elements (3, 4) which are firmly connected to a window glass (1) at their upper ends.
8704807 APPARATUS FOR KINEMATIC LINKAGE IN INTERCHANGEABLE LENS TYPE OF CAMERA Hiroshi KUREI, Akihiro ARAI, Takumi KOBAYASHI, Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha, 36-9, Maenocho 2-chome, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo 174, Japan assigned to ASAHI K O G A K U KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA An apparatus for kinematic linkage in an interchangeable lens type of camera having a mount locking member (13) and a mount lock releasing member (15), on the camera body (11), in a third quadrant of a body mount (12), a joint shaft in a fourth quadrant of the body mount, integral with the mount locking member, and a kinematic linkage mechanism between the joint shaft and the mount lock releasing member on the bottom of the camera body.
