Applied Chemical Technology manufactures fluidized beds for coating metal parts with thermoplastic powders. A new lifting fluid-bed can coat parts without indexing or lowering the parts into the bed. The lifting mechanism rapidly moves the fluid-bed up and down to submerge the heated parts in the powder. Also provided is the PLC system to monitor the position of the parts, motion of the fluid-bed, oven temperatures, dust collector, supply blower, and powder feed system.
