Call for Abstracts - 1991 Annual Session Endodontic Research Seminars, Poster Presentations and Table Clinics Each year at the AAE Annual Session, many fine research papers, poster presentations and table clinics are presented by a number of investigators. To "streamline" these activities, a format closely patterned after that of the tADR has been produced to screen and select the research and clinical presentations. An oral research seminar presentation is: a 15minute presentation, in a lecture room, of a clinical or basic science investigation using projected slides. The paper should be presented in 10-12 minutes and the remaining time allowed for a question-and-answer session. A poster presentation is: a 5-10 minute presentation of a clinical or basic science investigation displayed on a poster board measuring 4 x 8 feet. The presenter explains the project using the information on one poster on a one-to-one or small audience basis and should be available during the entire poster session. Models or projected slides may not be used during poster presentations. AAE members only may present poster presentation. A table clinic presentation consists of: presenting a simple, time-saving procedure, technique, or an interesting scientific phenomenon in 5-10 minutes on a one-toone or small audience basis. Projected slides, models, radiographs, etc. are allowed during the table clinic presentations. AAE members only may present table clinics. For research seminars and poster presentations, each prospective participant will be sent a form on which to type the title of the presentation, name(s) of investigators,

involved institution(s), and an abstract of about 250 words. The abstract should state the objectives of the investigation, the experimental method used, and the essential results and conclusions. The abstracts for research seminars and poster presentations that are accepted for the Annual Session will be published in the April issue of the Journal of Endodontics, thus becoming a part of the permanent record of our profession. Published abstracts should also enable our members to participate in seminars of their interest at our annual session. For table clinic presentations, each prospective participant will be sent a form on which to type the title of the presentation, name(s) of investigator(s), involved institution(s), and an abstract of about 150 words. The abstract should state the objective(s) and a brief description of the presentation. Those interested in participating in the research seminars or poster presentations can obtain the necessary forms by writing to the Chairman of the Committee on Research and Scientific Affairs, Dr. H. Robert Steiman, c/o American Association of Endodontists, 211 E. Chicago Ave., Suite 1501, Chicago, IL 60611. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION ON OR BEFORE NOVEMBER 15, 1990. Those interested in presenting a table clinic can obtain the necessary forms by writing to the Table Clinic Chairman, Dr. Frederic Barnett c/o American Association of Endodontists, 211 E. Chicago Ave., Suite 1501, Chicago, IL 60611. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION ON OR BEFORE NOVEMBER 15, 1990.
