CRYO 2004 Beijing, China, July 15–19, 2004
The 2004 World Congress of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine, organized by the Society for Cryobiology, Japanese Societies & Associations for Cryobiology, Cryopreservation and Cryomedicine, and the Chinese Cryobiology Society, will be held July 15–19, 2004, in Beijing, China. The meeting will take place at one of China’s most technically advanced conference and exhibition centers, the Beijing International Convention Center (BICC; www.bicc.com.cn). The BICC, with a floor space of 77,000 square meters, consists of the conference building and several restaurants. The conference center is located within the magnificent Asian Games Village and close to several shopping centers. Within easy reach of the BICC are some of Beijing’s major travel and scenic spots, including the National Olympic Sports center, Tian An Men Square, and the Forbidden Palace. The conference center is located 11 km away from the Beijing railway station and 20 km from Beijing Capital International Airport. To the north are two world-famous attractions, the Great Wall of China and Ming Tombs (The Underground Palace). Information and plans for the scientific and social programs can now be found on the Society’s Web site (www.societyforcryobiology.org). The local organizing committee is beginning to solicit sponsors for the meeting. Institution and corporate members who would like to assist with CRYO 2004 are asked to contact the Conference Chair.
