with the Second Pan American Chemical Congress sponsored by the Puerto Rico Chemists' Association. The conference wlll be held at the Carlbe Hilton International Hotel. The first Energy for the Americas International Conference was held at San Juan in 1985. Conference proceedings were published in the Energy Conversion and Management International Journal. OBJECTIVES The conference will provide the latest information on the status o f research, development and applications o f conventional and alternative energy sources J~ the Americas. Five d a y s o f s c i e n t i f i c a c t i v i t i e s are planned during the Energy Conference. Papers may be presented i n Spanish, English, French o r Portuguese, The conference will be supplemented with several cultural and social events organized by the Second Pan American Chemical Conference. Also, there will be a large exhibition of equipment and I n s ~ n t a t i o n . The registration fee will allow attendance to the Energex-91 Conference, exhibition area, the cultural and social events, the chemical congress and any other congress events that might be held in conjunction with these. CALL FOR PAP|mS You are cordially invited to participate by submitting an abstract of Four presentation. Abstract should be submitted not later than July let, 19%1. Abstract (single page) should Include the title of the paper in capital letters follo~e~ by name, affiliation and address of author and no more than 250 words in English, Spanish, French or Portuguese. The Peper should be limited to twenty - five pages Including tables, graphs, references, etc. The p a p e r s should ha camera ready for publication.
