Versatile pump for noxious slurries A highly versatile, general-duty pump for the chemical industries is Genflo's latest innovation. The S-Pump is a robust jet pump that can be used in several quite different configurations - as a submersible pump, as a hopper for feeding slurries, or as a powerful vacuum pump. It can transfer solids or liquids, including the most noxious slurries, over substantial horizontal distances and through vertical lifts to 30 m or more. Lightweight and built to pass through the smallest manhole, the S-Pump will work 'in the dry', totally submerged or as a vacuum generator, and in any position. Removing the pump cover reveals a specially-designed hopper grille through which solids can be shovelled and slurries screened. A clever 'machine scanning' program is how the new Vibscanner takes regular measurements by graphically displaying measurement locations one after another. Teamed up with the patented Vibcode transducer system and encoded measurement locations, this user-friendly, yet reliable data collection system is the latest innovation from Prtiftechnik to hit the machine monitoring market. The system's handy data collector features built-in sensors for no less than six important machine parameters: vibration acceleration, displacement and velocity according to the new ISO 10816-3 standard as well as bearing condition, temperature and rpm. Other process parameters can be metered via 4 - 20 mA analogue signal input or entered manually.
