A new lithium-powered multipoint data logger is designed for precise, detailed temperature measurement during process applications. The Tempest Multi-Channel Temperature Logger accepts input from up to eight Type K enhanced-accuracy thermocouples, stores up to 65,000 data points in its nonvolatile memory, then downloads data through an RS-232 serial port for analysis. The compact data logger has a standard operating range of - 4 0 to 185°F but when used with the Tempest "glove" it can withstand ambient temperatures up to 350°F for as long as 10 minutes.
