that it had received a purchase order from Petrobras to supply PerfoLiFT BD-4 to Petrobras for use in its three wholly-owned biodiesel manufacturing plants in Brazil, which collectively produce over 150 M lt/y of biodiesel. PerfoLiFT BD-4 is part of the PerfoLiFT BD-Series of proprietary fuel additive formulations which provide superior oxidation stability and deposit formation control in biodiesel fuel blends. Both International Fuel and its distribution partner in Brazil, Next Group Brazil, are on Petrobras’ registered vendor list. Due to government mandate, International Fuel believes that Petrobras will implement the use of biodiesel blended with diesel on a larger volume scale as they have implemented ethanol blended with gasoline. Currently, ethanol represents over 50% of every litre of gasoline consumed in Brazil. Currently, biodiesel only represents about 5% of every litre of diesel fuel consumed in Brazil, but there are plans to expand the blend content. The projected growth of the biodiesel market in Brazil is huge, and International Fuel expects to play a major role with its unique PerfoLiFT BD-Series additive formulations. International Fuel has two primary product lines, DiesoLiFT 10 and the PerfoLiFT BD-Series. DiesoLiFT 10 is International Fuel’s proprietary surfactant-based fuel additive formulation for use with diesel fuel and biodiesel fuel blends. The product has been scientifically proven to provide a significant improvement in fuel economy and a reduction in harmful emissions. International Fuel Technology Inc is a fuel performance enhancement company focused on providing its technology to large, industrial consumers of diesel fuel and biodiesel fuel blends in the rail, stationary power generation and road transport industries. Petrobras is the third largest energy company in the world with operations that include exploration and production, refining, oil and natural gas trade and transportation. PATENTS VeruTEK Technologies receives US patent notice of allowance for greensynthesized-nZVI (G-nZVI) VeruTEK Technologies Inc has received notice of US patent allowance for its latest environmental remediation and wastewater treatment product: Green-nano Zero Valent Iron (G-nZVI). G-nZVI is a high-performing catalyst developed in collaboration with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The product is ideal for a broad range of remediation applications including treating produced water (wastewater) generated during oil and gas and other chemical production processes. G-nZVI works more efficiently than conventional iron catalysts, significantly increasing the rate of oxidant activity and can be used under a wide range of conditions. Unlike other catalysts which are typically sensitive to changes in pH, G-nZVI consistently delivers high performance over a wide pH range. G-nZVI is highly effective as an activator for VeruTEK’s patentpending surfactant-enhanced in situ chemical oxidation (S-ISCO) treatment of hydrocarbon and chlorinated solvent contamination. The product can also be used with conventional in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) to improve the effectiveness of traditional remediation chemistry. VeruTEK is a green chemistry company with a new, field-proven approach to addressing difficult environmental issues.
