Revision of American Dental Association Specification No. 2 for Casting Investment for Dental Gold Alloy

T h e Council has adopted the following changes in American Dental Association Specification No. 2 for Casting Invest­ ment for Dental Gold Alloy (first revision approved April 1961) : 1. T h e indicated diameter of the ring in Figure 2-2, Flask for M O D casting, is changed to 31.8 mm . (1.25 in.) and the wall thickness is changed to 1.3 mm. (0.05 in .). 2. Section 5.3.4, Caution, is deleted.

3. Requirement number 5 of section 3.9, Instructions, regarding the Caution (Section 5.3.4) is deleted. These modifications were recom­ mended by the Specifications Committee of the Dental Materials Group, Interna­ tional Association for Dental Research, which serves as a consultant body to the Council on matters relating to the Asso­ ciation’ s specifications for dental mate­ rials.
