New Executive Editor BBA—Proteins and Proteomics It is our pleasure to announce the appointment of a new Executive Editor for the journal Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA)—Proteins and Proteomics. Paul F. Cook, Grayce B. Kerr Centennial Chair of Biochemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the University of Oklahoma (USA), replaces outgoing Executive Editor Ylva Lindqvist starting January 2005. Paul is an expert in the field of enzyme kinetics. He is particularly interested in homocitrate synthase and serine acetyltransferases amongst many other enzymes. Paul has been a very helpful and capable member of the editorial board since 1997. We are glad that we can continue to make use of his expertise in his new capacity as Executive Editor. In this more senior role, he will join Anthony Fink at UC-Santa Cruz (USA) and Friedrich Lottspeich at Martinsried (Germany). The journal BBA—Proteins and

Proteomics will no doubt continue to flourish under the editorial leadership of this excellent team. On behalf of the scientific community, the editors of BBA and the Publisher, we gratefully acknowledge the role and enormous efforts of Ylva Lindqvist who excellently served the journal for over 9 years. The journal couldn’t exist without such dedication from its Executive Editors. We are very grateful to Ylva for all the time and energy she has devoted to BBA—Proteins and Proteomics.
