Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer Durr Environmental Systems Plymouth, Mich. Durr has introduced its new HTO regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO).
The configuration of the HTO is based on ceramic media beds to preheat the incoming solvent-laden airstream, which flows to a central combustion chamber. Heat from the clean exit airstream is retained by the HTO with thermal efficiencies of up to 95%. Destruction efficiencies of up to 98% can be achieved with this new design. The low profile of the skid-mounted HTO permits installation under presses, oven, elevated paint lines, and other low space areas.
