THE RAMON GUITERAS AWARD* The American Urological Association presents an award annually to an individual who has made distinguished contributions to urology. THE FERDINAND C. VALENTINE AWARDt Dr. Ferdinand C. Valentine made a bequest to the New York Academy of Medicine to establish a fund, the income from which was to be used for periodic awards to individuals who have made distinguished contributions to urology. Doctor Valentine was one of the founders of the American Association, its first secretary and its third president. Recipient of the 1974 Ferdinand C. Valentine Award is: Dr. Victor F. THE HUGH HAMPTON YOUNG AWARD:j: In 1969 Bristol Laboratories of Syracuse, New York established an honorarium to be known as the Hugh Hampton Young Award, for presentation annually by the American Urological Association to one of its members who has made outstanding contributions in the field of urinary tract infection. Doctor Young was president of the AUA during 1907-1908 and founded, in 1917, The Journal of Urology, which is the official publication of the Association. Recipient of the 1974 Hugh Hampton Young Award is: Dr. William H.
