The American Galvanizers Association has published the following specifications: "Suggested Specification for Hot Dip Galvanizing," which relates to products to be galvanized according to ASTM A 123 and A 153; "Suggested Specification for Hot Dip Galvanizing Reinforcing Steel," which relates to reinforced bars to be galvanized according to ASTM 767; and "Suggested Specification for Preparing Hot Dip Galvanized Surfaces for Painting," which relates to surface preparation for painting over galvanized steel.
