KKR to acquire Gardner Denver
Chile’s Neptuno joins Hydraulic Institute
Gardner Denver Inc has entered into a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by global investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co LP (KKR) in a US$3.9 billion deal.
Neptuno Pumps has officially become the first Chilean and Latin American member of the Hydraulic Institute.
KKR will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Gardner Denver common stock for US$76 per share in cash. This is a 39% premium on Gardner Denver’s share price on 24 October 2012, the day
before the company confirmed that it had started to explore strategic alternatives for the business. The Gardner Denver board of directors has unanimously approved the merger agreement and recommends that shareholders vote in favour of the transaction.

Xylem expands service capability Xylem Inc has bought PIMS Group, a privately held UK-based wastewater services company, in a US$57 million deal. PIMS is a supplier of wastewater installation and maintenance services for the municipal, industrial and private sector markets throughout the UK. Founded in 1972, PIMS employs 220 people and had revenues of US$38 million for the fiscal year ended 30 April 2012.

Grundfos buys Australia’s BKB Pumps & Tanks Grundfos is acquiring its long term Australian partner BKB Pumps & Tanks Pty Ltd. Hallam, Victoria-headquartered BKB Pumps & Tanks will be merged with Grundfos’s Australian Commercial Building Services (CBS) team to create BKB Building Solutions Pty Ltd. BKB Building Solutions will operate independently of Grundfos Pumps, with its own management team and board of directors.

Metso supplies slurry pumps to Mozambique
John Crane, Shell sign framework agreement
Metso has signed a €3.3 million contract with Brazilian mining company Vale to provide 110 heavy duty slurry pumps for its Moatize coal mine in Mozambique.
Sealing specialist John Crane has won a five-year Enterprise Framework Agreement to supply products and services for Shell’s upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas operations worldwide.
