42 1237. Transition glasses from quartz glass to sodium calcium glass. (Poland) Information on the application of transition glasses with various thermal coefficients of expansion is given. The transition glasses are used in glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal vacuum seals. H Zbrowska, Elektronika, 12 (3), 1971, 105 (in Polish). 46. GLASS BLOWING, GLASS-TO-METAL AND CERAMICTO-METAL SEALING TECHNIQUES 46 1238. Glass-to-metal vacuum seal obtained by electroforming. (Poland)
Technique of electroformed vacuum-tight glass-to-metal sealing is described. The technique consists of chemical treatment of the glass and metal tubes, deposition of silver metalhzing layer, drying and sintering of the metallizing layer and deposition of Cu and Ni layers by electroforming. The vacuum parameters of the electroformed glass-to-metal seals and their practical applications are discussed. J Kruszewski and K Paszkowski, Elektronika, 12 (3), 1971, 103-104

46 1239. Axially balanced ceramic-to-metal seals in construction of highpower transmitting valves. (Poland) The results of mathematical analysis of the stresses produced in axially balanced ceramic-to-metal seals are presented. The nature and dimensions of sealed materials are taken into account in the analysis. R Gutowski et al, Elektronika, 12 (6), 1971,225-229 (in Polish).
