2016 Editorial

I am very pleased to welcome two new Associate Editors to the Management Accounting Research editorial team. I first welcome Thomas Pfeiffer from the Universität Wien. Thomas takes over from John Christensen from the University of Southern Denmark, who has served as Associate Editor for many years and expressed the desire to hand over. I cannot thank John enough for his extensive and extended service to the Journal, and I know I also speak for the two founding editors—Michael Bromwich and Bob Scapens—when I say this. Thank you John. Welcome Thomas. I also welcome Matthew Hall from the London School of Economics as a further Associate Editor. Matt will bring additional strength to the areas covered by Associate Editors Maggie Abernethy, Henri Dekker and Martin Messner. As we are already receiving a good number of manuscripts in these areas, for which we are grateful, Matt’s addition as an Associate Editor will add to our capacity to provide constructive and timely reviews. Welcome Matt. Collectively, the six Associate Editors—Margaret Abernethy, Henri Dekker, Matt Hall, Theresa Libby, Martin Messner, and Thomas Pfeiffer—represent a wide variety of scholarly back-

grounds, experiences and expertise across topics, source disciplines and research approaches, and all of them are committed to a vision of Management Accounting Research as a home for diverse management accounting research broadly conceived in all types of settings and organizations. Earlier in the year, I also added Kari Lukka from Turku School of Economics as a further editorial board member. As I write this at the turn of another year, I look back to the successful Management Accounting Research 25th Anniversary Conference which we held in April 2015,1 and I look forward to 2016 where the contributions from this conference will be published in Management Accounting Research, alongside various other new and original work in management accounting.
