2.4. QUADRENNIAL OZONE SYMPOSIUM”
Gottingen, FRG, 8-13 August 1988 The International Ozone Commission (IOC) of the International Association for Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics (IAMAP) will hold its next regular Quadrennial Ozone Symposium at the University of Giittingen, from 8 August through 13 August 1988. The scientific programme will be concerned with the following topics: Recent developments in observational techniques Analysis of both surface-based and satellite ozone observations Chemical-radiative-dynamical model calculations Observations of relevant trace constituents and their budgets Laboratory measurements of chemical rate constants and absorption crosssections Interaction of ozone and circulation Radiation topics relevant to atmospheric ozone Ozone-climate interaction Tropospheric ozone Natural and man-made perturbations of the ozone layer Future directions. It is planned that there will be 6 days of scientific meetings consisting of invited presentations and contributed papers in both oral and poster sessions, together with a 2-day workshop on either 4-5 or 15-16 August, on a special ozone topic not adequately covered by the symposium.
