GORDON RESEARCH CONFERENCE ON CRYSTAL GROWTH Santa Barbara, California, 15—19 January 1979 The next Gordon Research Conference on Crystal Growth will be held January 15—19, 1979 at the Miramar Hotel, Santa Barbara, California, USA. The program will include sessions on liquid phase epitaxy, vapor growth and epitaxy, silicon growth, indium phosphide growth, fundamental studies, laser annealed growth, defects and characterization, and selected special topics. Mr. Charles S. Sahagian, Solid State Sciences Division (ES), Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts will serve as Chairman of the Conference, with Dr. Glenn W. Cullen RCA Laboratories, Princeton, New Jersey, serving as Vice Chairman. The Gordon Research Conferences were established to stimulate research by an informal type of meeting consisting of scheduled speakers and discussion groups. Meetings are held in the morning and in the evening, with the afternoons available for recreation, reading, or participation in discussion groups. Attendance is limited to about 100 conferees.
