9th INTERNATIONAL NUMERICAL

CONFERENCE

ON

METHODS IN FLUID DYNAMICS

CEN SACLAY,

FRANCE,

JUNE

25-29,

1984

Objectives Initiated in 1969, the International Conferences on Numerical Methods in Fluid Dynamics (ICNMFD) are being held every other year. The ninth Conference will be held at the Nuclear Research Center of Saclay, located 20 kms south of Paris (France), from June 25 to June 29, 1984. The objective is to deal with recent advances in numerical methods applied to problems in fluid dynamics and solutions of new fluid flow problems established by numerical modelling. As an indication, here is a non exhaustive list of fields which might be covered by the Conference: Solution of the Navier-Stokes or Euler equations, Numerical techniques (Free Lagrangian, adaptative meshes, multifluid method in Eulerian coordinates, etc.. .) in fluid dynamics, Accuracy of numerical solutions, gas dynamics, transonic flows, transitional and turbulent flows, internal flows, rotating flows, boundary layers, combustion processes (possibly extended to detonation and deflagration phenomena), etc. . . It is expected that the Conference will continue to bring together scientists and engineers from a diverse spectrum of disciplines whose common interest is the Fluid Dynamics approach by numerical methods. The program will consist of invited lectures and contributed papers. Call for papers About 100 contributed papers will be accepted for both oral and poster presentation as appropriate, and all accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings subject to the same length restriction. Persons wishing to present a contributed paper should submit a 1000 word abstract before December 15, 1983, indicating the mode of presentation that they would prefer. Requests for further information should be addressed to: Martine Moitie 9th ICNMFD Conferences CISI, BP. 24 91190 Gif sur Yvette France
