There are on the market several types of scrotal clamps, many of which have certain features that make them impractical in one way or another. The greatest objection to most of these is the set-screw adjustment. It has often been observed that during diathermy treatment, the scrotum may move sufficiently to make further adjustment of the appliance necessary. It then becomes

necessary to unfasten the set-screw and get a new grip of the part, which not infrequently delays the treatment, as well as causing discomfort to the patient. The instrument which the writer wishes to present was designed in an effort to overcome this difficulty, inasmuch as the firmness of the grip can entirely be controlled with the forceps type of
