Announcement of new editor Elsevier Science and the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology are pleased to announce the appointment of Ann McGillicuddy-De Lisi as Editor. Dr. McGillicuddy-De Lisi will assume her editorial role in January, 2002, with the publication of volume 23. She joins Dr. Rodney R. Cocking who continues as Editor. Ann V. McGillicuddy-De Lisi is the Marshall R. Metzgar Professor of Psychology and Head of the Psychology Department at Lafayette College. She is a developmental psychologist who specializes in the study of parent beliefs about child development and learning environments within the family, moral development, and the development of sex differences in cognition. Dr. McGillicuddy-De Lisi has edited a book on parents’ beliefs (with I.E. Sigel and J.J. Goodnow) and a book on the development of sex differences (with R. De Lisi). She has published numerous research articles and book chapters on children’s and adults’ cognitive development. She has been active as an ad hoc reviewer for over 20 developmental and educational journals and has served on editorial boards of Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology and Child Development. All manuscripts will continue to be received at the address indicated in the cover page of the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology. R.R. Cocking
