Papers for Presentation The regulations governing submission of abstracts of papers for possible presentation at the annual meeting are as follows: 1. Titles and abstracts, in triplicate, must be received by the General Programme Chairman (A. W. Brant, Animal Husbandry Research Center, U. S. Department of Agriculture, Beltsville, Maryland) on or before May 14. Abstracts should not be submitted unless one of the authors expects to be in attendance to present the paper. Indicate, at the bottom of the abstract, the name and address of the author to whom the disposition notice should be sent. 2. Any author desiring to present more than one paper must indicate his order of preference when he submits the abstract. Abstracts having coauthors must specify which one intends to present the paper. 3. The abstract, not exceeding 200 words in length, should give clear and concise information of the problem, procedure or method used, and a statement of results and conclusions. Statements with regard to work in progress will not be published. Do not submit tables, figures or other illustrations. (It is recognized that abstracts of papers for Extension, Instruction or Marketing sections may not follow such instructions implicitly, but the general principle should apply.)

4. In the preparation of the abstract, authors are urged to refer to the September, 1957 issue of Poultry Science for the format to be used. This format is: Title of the paper, author(s), institution (note that the department or division name is not included), address (note abbreviation used for state or province) and the abstract proper.
