29 May-I June 1974 International Symposium Electronic Properties of Oxides/Applications and Science. A joint industry-government sponsored International Symposium will be held at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. The charter of the symposium is to assess the current status of the science and technology pertaining to electronic properties of oxides, to determine the directions in which science and technology are currently progressing, and to determine what additional science is needed to accelerate the rate of technological applications. In addition, it is hoped that the symposium will aid in the transfer of knowledge to specific problems in fields other than electronics, such as catalysis. Sessions: 1. Switching, Semiconductor-Metal Transition 2. Catalysis 3. High Temperature Conductors~Insulators 4. Optical 5. Magnetic Semiconductors 6. Films and Coatings 7. Low Temperature Conductivity Selected keynote papers by outstanding researchers will be used to supplement the formal sessions above, and a general session will be added if necessary. Each of the formal sessions will include a mix of invited and contributed papers. Abstracts of papers to be considered for presentation at the symposium should be received no later than January 15,
