The benefits of Wilden solenoidoperated, double-diaphragm pumps can be expanded with the features of the Solenoid Pump Controller I (SPC I). The microprocessor-based controller provides the interface to easily communicate with Wilden solenoidoperated pump models to fully automate liquid processes. The self-contained unit powers and controls the electrical signals to the pump, which maximizes pump reliability and repeatability. The SPC I can interface with a variety of external inputs such as liquid level, proximity, and temperature sensors or switches to customize the application.

The Hydro-Miser Div. of Applied Thermal Technologies Inc. has introduced a new economy-priced line of four packaged liquid chillers. The new models, designated the HMTD Series, cover a capacity range of 2 to 22 tons of refrigeration. Each of these new models is available with air- or watercooled hermetic-type compressors. They may be installed outdoors or indoors. Regular tap or distilled water, as well as mixtures of ethylene or propylene glycol, may be used in the HMTD chillers as the coolant medium. They may be operated at coolant supply temperatures as low as +20”F (0°F on special order) and as high as +65”F (+ 100°F with optional mixing valve).
