Computer Science and Data Banks. Zdzislaw Hippe and Jacques Emile Dubois, Editors. The 8th International Conference on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA) held in Jachranka, 4-7 October 1982, was organized at the invitation of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The total number of 176 participants came from 22 foreign countries. The scientific programme of the Conference consisted of invited and keynote lectures, short communications, data banks demonstrations, poster sessions and round-table discussions. The heated spontaneous and very informal discussions were the hallmarks of the 8th CODA%4 conference. This book just contains selected lectures and papers delivered during the Conference within the special sessions: Data Banks, Information Transfer Systems, Computer Science and Computer-Aided Design. Published for the Institute of Physical Chemistry and the Polish National CODATA Committee by the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw.
