Natia Esiashvili, MD, earned her medical degree from Tbilisi State Medical University in the Republic of Georgia. She completed her residency in radiation at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and was named chief resident in the Radiation Oncology Training Program. Dr Esiashvili currently is an Assistant Professor in the Emory University Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr Esiashvili’s research focuses on pediatric tumors, including the clinical outcome of pediatric patients and late effects of radiotherapy in childhood-tumor survivors. She also focuses on adult hematological malignancies like leukemias and lymphomas. Dr Esiashvili has coauthored several journal articles and book chapters and has served as a manuscript reviewer for International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics. She is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Children’s Oncology Group, and the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society. She is a member of Neuroblastoma disease committee and late effects task force of Children’s Oncology Group and protocol reviewer for several ongoing studies. Cynthia Anderson, MD, earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in radiation at Emory University and was named chief resident in the Radiation Oncology Training Program. Dr Anderson currently is an Assistant Professor in the Emory University Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr Anderson’s current research focuses on stereotactic and body radiosurgery for central nervous system and systemic tumors. In addition, she conducts research on pediatric tumors including brain tumors and lymphoma; tumor functional imaging with PET/CT; and does clinical research on lung cancer. Dr Anderson has co-authored several journal articles and book chapters. She is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Children’s Oncology Group, and the American Association of Women in Radiology. Howard Katzenstein, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh and his pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University. Dr Katzenstein currently is an Associate Professor in the Emory University Department of Pediatrics/Division of Hematology/Oncology Curr Probl Cancer, November/December 2009

where he also serves as the Director of Innovative Therapies. Dr Katzenstein’s research focuses on pediatric tumors, focusing on solid tumors-specifically liver tumors and neuroblastoma as well as novel therapeutic agents. He has served as Principal Investigator on several national clinical trials. Dr Katzenstein has coauthored over 40 journal articles and book chapters. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and the Children’s Oncology Group.
