Axalta Coating Systems Launches Global Technologies for the ACE Market
F O C U S Axalta’s Powder Coatings Joint Venture earns recognition by Press Metal International in China Axalta Coating Systems, one of the leading global suppliers of liquid and powder coatings, was recognized by Press Metal International Ltd. with its “Excellent Business Partner” award granted to Axalta’s powder coating Axalta Huajia Coatings Ltd. joint venture in China. Axalta Huajia is a joint venture that Axalta shares with Huangshan Yongjia Group Co. Ltd. The prestigious “Excellent Business Partner” award was presented to Axalta Huajia at Press Metal’s celebration to commemorate its 10th anniversary of doing business in China. Andy Hammond and Courtney Jungjohann Deemer accepted the recognition on behalf of PPG during formal ceremonies March 3 in Moline, Illinois. Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement. The combination of Axalta’s AquaEC™ electrocoat, liquid and powder coatings coupled with its global footprint positions the company to meet the demanding technology and performance requirements of heavy equipment manufacturers. “We are excited to offer a complete line of products to meet the global needs of our customer base,” explained Michael Bollan, Axalta’s Global Business Director for ACE manufacturers. “Our ability to serve as a single supplier of all three key coating technologies enables us to meet the full range of customer needs with products

TCI Powder Coatings Names VP of Sales and Marketing Powder coatings manufacturer TCI Powder Coatings, a subsidiary of RPM International, has named John J. Bostock Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Bostock brings over 30 years of experience in the industrial coatings market. For 24 years Bostock was with Valspar with an increasing level of executive experience, most recently as Vice President, Global Sales Industrial business. PPG Appoints McGarry President and Chief Operating Officer PPG Industries has appointed Michael H. McGarry, currently Chief Operating Officer, to President and Chief Operating Officer, effective March 1. McGarry became Chief Operating Officer in August 2014. McGarry will continue to have executive oversight responsibility for all of PPG’s strategic business units and operating regions and for the information technology (IT), environment, health and safety (EH&S), and purchasing functions.
