Additives for Polymers
with the careful selection of raw materials. Major ingredients are china clay, sodium carbonate and sulphur. .These are blended prior to heating in specially designed kilns to almost 100°C. The pigment is then allowed to gradually cool, during which time, air (oxygen) is allowed into the kilns. This controlled exposure to air results in the heated blend turning its distinctive blue colour. The pigment is then ready to be graded according to quality and its differing properties. Further processing can produce a violet and a pink colour . Contact: Holliday Pigments Ltd, Morley North Kingston-upon-Hull, Street, Humberside, HU8 SDN, UK. Tel: +44-I482329875.
