PRODUCTS Polymer-specific colour masterbatches for engineering plastics Mercury Plastics (a UK subsidiary of Sandoz) produces coloured masterbatches for engineering plastics, and also stocks colours from other Sandoz companies for off-the-shelf supply. These include masterbatches from Reed Spectrum in the USA, covering most of the widely-used engineering polymers, and from Sarma in Italy, which makes a range of PET colorants including bottle materials. Reed also makes PET masterbatches, with four series each available in 40 colours. One of these, Tersar N, uses a proprietary carrier system developed by Sandoz in conjunction with machinery makers, and normally does not need pre-drying. It also has the best
