Charlotte R. Brown, L.R.C.P., L.R.C.S., whose appo~ntment as Tuberculosis Officer in ERsex we announced last November, is also the Medical Superintendent of High Beech Sanatorium and Chingford Sanatorium. The appointment is a whole· time one with a salary ()f £500 and travelling expenses. T. W. Ruttledge, M.B., RCh., D.P.H., bas been appointed '£uberculosis Officer for the -district of Pontefract, Yorks, \V.R. He was formerly Tuberculosis Officer for Sheffield. 'l'he appointment was from"January 1.. W. John Fordham, ltR.C.S., L.RC.P., after Hi years of general practice has become Assistant Tuberculosis Officerfor Sheffield and R.M.O. to the City Hospital in Winter Street, .at a salary of £350 with board and residence. 'l'he appointment took effect on December 8. Elfrida H. B. Coghill, L.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. (Edin. and GIas.), formerly Assistant !?chool M. 0., Salop, assumed on January 11 her ap· pointment as Assistant ltO.H. for Easthourne at a salary of £450, rising to £550. Gordon Thomas Calthrop, M.A., M.B., B.Ch.(Cantab.), M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., has been appointed Tuberculosis Officer to the Borough ()f St. Pancras, and began his duties there with the New·Year. He was R.M.O. at the City of J.Jondon Chest Hospital, and since June of last. year has been Assistant M.O. at the Downs Sanatorium. His -present ap. pointment carries a. salary of £500, rising to to :£600 in two years. • Thompson Campbell, M.D., C.M., has become Medical Superintendent of Middleton Sanatorium, near llkley, at a salary (indoor) of £650. The post is under the West Riding County' Council, which he has been serving already as Chief Clinical Tuberculosis Officer. The new ~ppointment took effect on January 14. H. M. Fleming, B.A., L.M., M.D., D.P.H., formerly Assistant School M.O. to the S"Uord Education Committee, has been appointed Assistant Tuberculosis Officer to the Borough Council. Colin James Galbraith, M.RC.S., L.R.C.P., M.D.; B.B.Lond.;' D.P.H., formerly Tuberculosis Officer and Assistant M.O.H., to Hamp. shire County Council has, since November 18, been Tuberculosis Officer to North Devon, at 8; salary of £650, rising to £800 per annum. w.ith £250 for travelling ~xpenses. Peter Lowe, M.A., B.Sc., M.B., Ch.B., D. P.li., formerly School Medical Officer to the Hereford County Council, has been appointed Tuberculosis Officer and Deputy M.O.H. to the same County Council. ' His sala.ryamounts to £500, not including travelling expenses. Ernest J. C. Graves, M.D., B. S. ,'at' present acting as Assistant M.O. at Middleton Sana.. torium, 'was recently appoiuted Assistant Dispensary and Sanatorium M.O. to the West Riding County Council. He was formerly Tuberculosis Officer and Assistant M.O.H. at Oldham.. The present appointment carries a salary of £500.
