The Executive Committee of the First International Conference on Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology herewith is inviting reactor technologists and engineering mechanicians from countries all over the world to contribute to this conference which will be devoted to the following topics: • Structural Analysis of Reactor Components (dealing with: nuclear and structural components of the reactor core, primary coolant circuit structures, steel and prestressed concrete reactor pressure vessels, reactor containment shells); • Interaction between Structural Mechanics Science and Practical Reactor Engineering; • Mathematical-Physical Characterization of Reactor Materials (dealing with: nuclear fuel materials, high-temperature structural materials, pressure vessel steels); • Thermo- and Fluid-Dynamics Phenomena with Interactive Coupling with Mechanical Behavior of Reactor Components; • Computer Methods in Solid and Structural Mechanics for Solving Complex Problems in Nuclear Reactor Design; • Probabilistic Methods and Statistics as applied to Structural Analysis and Safety Assessment of Mechanical and Structural Reactor Components and Systems.
