The Leadership Quarterly Yearly Review (LQYR) for 2019 David V. Day Yearly Review Editor1 Claremont McKenna College, Kravis Leadership Institute, Kravis Center, 850 Columbia Ave, Claremont, CA 91711, United States

The Leadership Quarterly is seeking proposals and manuscripts for the 2019 LQYR. Eligible topics include leadership studies broadly defined to include theory, research, and practice in the field of leadership. Published manuscripts could include comprehensive literature reviews, theoretical integrations, new methodological developments, meta-analyses, or some combination of these. The review could be set in any scientific discipline that studies leadership systematically, from traditional organizational behavior, management or industrial-organizational psychology points of views to other perspectives including but not limited to evolutionary biology, anthropology, economics, or sociology. Of particular interest are contributions that adopt provocative—but theoretically or empirically grounded—viewpoints that go beyond reviewing the relevant literature to proposing where the future of leadership studies should, and should not, continue. For example, are there measures or practices that no longer contribute meaningfully to the field of leadership broadly construed? Well-reasoned and soundly-argued papers that identify measures, theories, or practices that should be discontinued in the field, that would serve to stimulate debate, and potentially change the field constructively will be given special consideration in the review process. Potential authors are required to submit a 10-page maximum (plus references, tables, figures, and other end matter not included in the 10-page maximum), double-spaced proposal outlining the proposal topic and approach, elaborating why coverage of a chosen topic(s) is necessary, and concisely summarizing the potential contribution of the work in terms of how the manuscript will serve to (re)shape leadership theory, research, and/or practice. Paper and proposal submission are subject to competitive peer-review with an accept/reject option (note, proposals that are deemed to be excellent by the editorial team will be given an immediate revise decision). The timetable for this issue is as follows:
